Overview
The Avaya 9600 Series IP Deskphones deliver a unique communications experience that drives increased employee productivity. These IP Deskphones feature an intuitive interface that helps users to be proficient and confident in performing common telephone tasks such as setting up a conference call or completing a transfer.
With enhanced high-fidelity audio, conversations are much easier to hear, which can speed business transactions while reducing employee fatigue and stress.
The 9600 Series IP Deskphones provide exceptional audio performance and are green. The newest additions to the portfolio take the portfolio to new levels of power efficiency including PoE Class One models that includes integrated gigabit and a color screen. All the new models consume even less power when not being used.
9600-series IP Deskphones are signaling protocol independent with two telephony applications, Avaya one-X® Deskphone H.323 and Avaya one-X® Deskphone SIP, that support H.323 or SIP respectively. This means that whether your SME chooses H.323 for its broad feature support and backwards compatibility or chooses SIP for access to Avaya Aura® and IP Office Branch surviveability, you can use the 9600-series IP Deskphones to drive personal productivity and competitive advantage.
Gigabit Ethernet Adapter for 9600 Series (700383771)
The Integrated Gigabit Adapter is supported on the 9640 and 9650 IP Deskphones. It seamlessly integrates into the bottom of the IP Deskphone, providing 10/100/1000 Mbps support in a simple, elegant manner. The 10/100/1000 Ethernet switch is capable of supporting the layer 1 and 2 features as configured for the Ethernet switch built into the telephone such as speed and duplex settings, the ability to report the actual speed and duplex when auto-negotiation is used, the ability to disable the secondary interface, VLAN tagging/removal, VLAN separation, and control of the forwarding of frames with group multicast addresses for 802.1X. The adapter supports PoE 802.3af Class 3 device with optional local power supply.
Note: A wedge stand is required for all 9600 phones when using any adapter – including Gigabit Ethernet.
Bluetooth Adapter for 9600 Series (700383789)
The integrated Bluetooth Adapter is supported on the 9630G, 9640, 9640G, 9650, and 9650C IP Deskphones. It seamlessly integrates into the bottom of the IP Deskphone, providing wireless bluetooth connectivity to other bluetooth enabled communications devices – including 3rd party bluetooth headsets.
